This page shows you how our cabinets are made and the differences between the materials used. All of our cabinets are “in frame”. This means that the carcass has a separate front frame at the front, and the door fits into the frame. This is much better than many mass produced kitchens where the door sits on the front of the carcass. |

Our Tulipwood with oak veneer carcass kitchens are ideal for painting as the Tulipwood gives a very flat paint finish. The interior is made with real oak veneer which can be varnished or oiled to give a beautiful, long lasting finish (beware of cabinets that have painted interiors, they will become scratched and unsightly in no time!). Our doors are properly jointed with mortice and tenon joints and are traditionally made from 5 separate pieces. Our drawers are made from solid wood and have dovetail joints at both the front and back of the drawer box. We use top quality GRASS runners that are hidden underneath the drawer box. |

Our Oak/Oak Veneer kitchen is a beautiful light oak colour that can be finished with a matt varnish to help maintain the light colour or oiled with Danish Oil. Our doors are properly jointed with mortice and tenon joints and are traditionally made from 5 separate pieces. Our drawers are made from solid wood and have dovetail joints at both the front and back of the drawer box. We use top quality GRASS runners that are hidden underneath the drawer box. |

Pine |

Our Pine or Reclaimed pine kitchens are made with Pine (or reclaimed Pine) throughout. Apart from that we make them with the same features as our other kitchens. Our doors are proper mortice and tenon 5 piece doors, and our drawer boxes are traditionally dovetailed at the front and back. The interior is Pine or reclaimed pine, and so can be varnished or oiled (beware of cabinets that have painted interiors, they will become scratched and unsightly in no time!). The cabinet exterior can be painted, and gives a grainy painted finish which gives a more of a traditional look than our flat finish Tulipwood cabinets. |
