The heart of any good bespoke furniture maker is the workshop, and its craftsmen. After starting in converted farm buildings, a few moves, 8 years and over 1000 kitchens later, the workshop occupies just over 10,000 square ft, and is home to a workforce with a combined experience of over 100 years of furniture making.
Combining the latest technology with traditional woodworking skills, top quality can be ensured every time.
Care is taken at every stage, from the initial selection of the correct wood, to the final check of a completed kitchen by the Workshop Manager, to ensure that we can be proud of the kitchen we deliver to you.
Our vast range of over 200 cabinets, together with our huge number of options, and almost limitless choice of sizes, means that your kitchen has to be made especially for you from scratch. We do not hold any stocks of “standard” units.
All of our drawers have traditional dovetailed joints (see pic on the right), and our doors are proper 5 piece doors constructed using mortice and tenon joints. You will also notice that our doors are 25mm (1 inch) thick, not 18mm like those of most other kitchen companies.
All drawers (except spice drawers) are mounted using top quality soft close metal runners made by the industry leaders GRASS. These are fitted underneath the drawer, and so are hidden from normal view. Each runner has a quick release catch to enable the drawer to be removed for cleaning if necessary.
